One of my favorite offerings as a baby photographer is my grow with me milestone packages. I love it when my clients book milestone sessions because I get to document their baby’s whole first year and really watch them grow up. I love seeing all the personality come out and seeing the changes and features that pop with each baby. I truly think this is the most important time in a child’s life to document. Babies grow so freaking fast in that first year! Their faces change, their hair grows, their personality starts to come out. They learn to crawl, sit, stand, and even start talking. And it all goes by so fast! Before you know it, they’re toddlers, getting into everything and you can hardly even remember what they looked like when they were newborns, or in those first few months of life. That’s why milestone sessions are so important!
Each session is so different from the next because babies change so much, so fast. I have lots of props to help them get into different poses and to keep them happy so we can get those great smiling photos!

At one year +, babies and toddlers are crawling or even walking so they never stay in the same spot for long. A great solution to this is to do food theme / cake smash for birthday milestone session. It’s also a great time to photograph their favorite toys and fun props. I prefer to do them outside if possible but we can definitely wrangle them in the studio or your home to! They have so much personality at this age and it is so fun to photograph them, even if it means chasing them around.
At the end of the first year, I absolutely love creating milestone albums of all the sessions we’ve done, or custom collages. It is the best way to see a baby’s first year and to really see how much they’ve changed.
Most Grow with Me Milestone Sessions include : Maternity, Newborn, 3 Month, 6 Month, 9 Month, 12 Month +
(Cake smash/ Food smash/ 1 year celebration) at the end of the year most families choose to have an album made and a large metal collage – We don’t have to stop at a year I have several clients who are coming back each year for a birthday session for fun.
There are tons of options for cake smashes and milestone sessions – If you don’t see one above you like please let me know and we can look for a backdrop for your theme! – It is best to plan sessions 2-3 weeks before your celebration time so we / you can order any custom props and back drops for the session. There is a $50 additional fee for new custom backdrops – If you would like a balloon garland please let me know in advance so we can order one for you. I charge cost for these plus $20 to make it inhouse for you – You will get to take it home with you as I am allergic to latex!! If you see a back drop above and want to order a costume / props to match we can discuss splitting the cost ( I do not always do this but am open for discussion!) Splitting the cost goes for other props and wrap colors / background fabrics for little ones as well!

EDIT: We just had our 2 year photoshoot with Mackenzie. I am still in awe and in love with her talent! My daughter at 2 has a habit of just staring. Not smiling and Mackenzie can get her to smile and laugh in a posed position better then I can! My camera roll on my phone wishes I had her talent to do that lol Even though it’s supposed to be a birthday photoshoot, we’ve turned it into a family photoshoot and SO grateful we did! Mackenzie encouraged us to do them and we are already so grateful for it. If you are looking for amazing quality, look no further!!
I have never done professional pictures before. They were expensive, I didn’t know where to start, or how to do anything. But when I had my baby girl, I KNEW I wanted to have memories from her being little!! Mackenzie has been working with us from newborn phase! She got the most precious pictures of my daughter and my husband and me. Then we proceeded to do a 3, 6, &9 month photoshoot with her! Over the moon happy we went that route. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to have all those different photoshoots but my daughter has changed so much, I’m so glad we did it. We finished off by doing a 1 year family photoshoot. Mackenzie was phenomenal the whole time. She was flexible with timing when the Lil one got sick. Picked great backgrounds. Helped make my visions come to life! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend!
*edit* year three with Mackenzie and she just keeps blowing me away! She got me my daughter’s photos to me within 24 hours and was so amazing. We used her home studio to do a my chemical romance theme and it was everything!! Thank you so much!
This is my second time working with MacKenzie and I will always go to her for any of my photography needs. She recently captured my babies first smash cake and everything was perfect. She took loads of pictures so we didn’t miss anything and she was also very playful and entertaining with my daughter to get the most perfect smiles in all our photos. She is one of the most respectful and professional photographers I have ever worked with. She is very flexible and worked with me to get exactly what I needed and a reasonable price.
What a pleasure to work with!!! I was so nervous about our first family photo shoot and just really wanted to get at least one good picture. Well; I had lots to choose from! 2023 Update: she has now done my maternity, little ones newborn & multiple sessions as a milestone package. Love every single photo!! It’s always so hard to pick a favorite! It’s so fun to see how much he has changed over the year!
I came up with the crazy idea to want mommy, mommy & me photos & Mackenzie captured that idea for me! She’s done couple photos for us before & I KNEW I wanted her again for these! So glad I did, they came out perfect!
