Every Family Deserves to Be Seen — Including Yours

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t come up enough in portrait photography: what happens when your kid isn’t the “stand here and smile” type.

Whether your child is on the autism spectrum, has ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or just has zero interest in being photographed (valid, honestly), you might have written off family portraits as something that works for other families. Not yours.

I’m here to tell you that’s not true — and I have the five-star reviews to prove it.

Here’s the thing — I’m not special-needs trained in a clinical sense. What I am is a mom who reads people really, really well. I pay attention. I slow down when I need to. I speed up when the energy calls for it. I push aside the parents who are saying to much and take over – I meet kids where they are instead of forcing them into where I think they should be. If your kiddo needs five minutes to warm up, we take five minutes. If they’re done before we’re done, I’ve already gotten the shot.

Another client put it simply: “My youngest was having a tough time, and she was able to pause and help us get back on track and still get amazing pictures.”

That’s the job. That’s what you’re hiring me for — not just someone who can work a camera, but someone who can work a moment. Even a chaotic, uncooperative, beautifully unpredictable one.

So if you’ve been hesitant to book because you’re not sure your family can “pull off” a photo session — please reach out.

Tell me about your kid. Tell me what they love, what sets them off, what makes them laugh. We’ll build the session around them, not the other way around.

Every family deserves portraits they’ll actually cry over. Yes, even yours.
