A new home, a short NICU stay, and a baby girl who finally — finally — got to come home. This session had a lot of feelings packed into it, and honestly? It showed up beautifully in every single frame.
When a family has been through a NICU stay, getting home is the exhale they’ve been holding for days. Add a fresh move into a brand-new house and a big sister who was absolutely beside herself with excitement, and you’ve got the recipe for one of my favorite kinds of sessions — a little chaotic, completely real, and full of love that doesn’t sit still.
That big sister? Completely natural. Tons of direction needed but end the end a snuggle was all she wanted. She snuggled right up to that tiny pink onesie like she’d been practicing for this her whole life (she had). Baby slept through all of it with those perfect little folded hands and lashes that were frankly unfair. And in the background, their black cat mischief held his post like the unbothered professional he is.
This is exactly why I love in-home sessions — the real stuff is always the best stuff.
